Children’s Mela

 Children’s mela was organized at  Iyyan chithira pattai on 13^th August 2010 by  Virudhunagar NCN unit.This  Mela  aimed  at  creating  awareness  on  the right to education among the public of the   Viruthunager district .Songs, dance, drama and etc added  flavour to the Mela.. 73 children participated  in this Mela . Ms.Syed Alli Pathima and Ms Muthu Selvi facilitated the Mela .

Tamil Nadu State Children’s Parliament Prime  minister sharing with  experience with child ministers  at Elluvilai

As  a continuing initiative  to evolve more  model villages of Children’s Parliament, NCN national office,   with the  support of Kanyakumari NCN unit organized a one day training programme on 25^th  July for the ministers of Elluvillai Village  Children’s  Parliament. The programme  culminated  with the swearing-in ceremony  of newly elected  child   ministers. The newly  elected   ministers  took  oath  in the  presence of Muthu Selva  Ganesh-Prime Minister of TNSPC in the premises of   Elluvillai Panchayath office. 43  children and 20 adults  participated in this programme .Ms  Bibiana and Ms Mary Princy facilitated the  meeting. Mr.Muthu Selva Ganesh   shared his experience on being  the  Prime minister of TNSPC and gave a brief description about the activities and his role to the participants .

    A three-day training programme  at  Babuji Nilayam was organized by NCN National office in  collaboration with social workers of Nagle health  centre from 26^th to 28^th of July. This programme  was intended to  bring concept clarification to the members of EveryChild  partners  of Karnataka. Sixteen members  attended this programme .Edwin M John lectured  on the concept of  Neighbourhood Children’s Parliament .Justus-President of  VHAK and  Paul Thomas- Prime minister of State Youth Parliament  handled  sessions  on the  practical  aspects of children’s parliament in  creating  a  child friendly  society for the  children. The participants  visited neighbourhood  children’s parliament of  Colachel and Kovalam and had  interactions  with  child ministers  . Child members of  the parliaments  enthusiastically shared  their achievements and activities to the visitors
